The Shiv Nadar University was established by an act of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly to promote, conceptualise and bring about a paradigm shift through the development of outstanding leadership, research, knowledge and ideas for education. 
Shiv Nadar University Chennai is part of the Shiv Nadar Foundation and has a legacy of over 30 years in education with over 40,000 alumni and students and an investment of over Rs 10,000 cr in building world-class institutions.
Shiv Nadar University Chennai is located in Kalavakkam, Chengalpattu district. 
It offers 10+ UG, PG and PhD courses in Engineering, Commerce, Science and Humanities, Law, etc. to cultivate talent and nurture young minds. 
Shiv Nadar University Admissions are provided solely based on national-level entrance exams, such as JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, XAT and UGC NET for admission to the UG/ PG and PhD courses. 
The University also conducts an entrance test (SNUSAT) for admission to B.Tech, B.Sc, BA and BMS.

Recruitment

The institute’s placement cell conducts the necessary training that is required for the skill development of its students and equips them for the recruitment process. Training on communication and soft skills, aptitude and reasoning, domain-specific technical skills and employability skills are provided.

Eligibility

Bachelors

Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. – Candidates must have studied Mathematics/Statistics/Business Mathematics/Computer Science/Information Practices/Economics as one of the subjects at the 10+2 level.

Masters

Candidates from other branches of Engineering, who have worked in AI based projects in industry, are also encouraged to apply. A minimum of 60% aggregate shall be the cut-off mark setting for screening of applications
