Thiagarajar College of Engineering is one of the oldest and most reputed institutions in Tamil Nadu founded by the philanthropist Late Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar. It is a government-aided college funded by the State and Central Governments established in 1957 in the locality of Tirupparankundram, Madurai district.
