- Minimum age: 17 years by December 31, 2026; no upper limit.
- Class 12 passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech, English; 50% aggregate in PCB for General, 40% for OBC/SC/ST.
- Indian citizens, OCIs eligible; Tamil Nadu quota needs state domicile for 85% seats via DME counselling.
- No attempt limit; qualify NEET percentile: 50th for General, 40th for reserved.
Syllabus
- Physics: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Optics, Modern Physics from NCERT Class 11-12.
- Chemistry: Physical (Thermodynamics, Equilibrium), Organic (Hydrocarbons, Biomolecules), Inorganic (Periodic Table, Coordination Compounds).
- Biology (Botany & Zoology): Human Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, Cell Biology, Plant Kingdom – high weightage on NCERT.
Exam Pattern
- Offline OMR-based, 180 compulsory MCQs: 45 Physics, 45 Chemistry, 90 Biology (45 each Botany/Zoology).
- Duration: 3 hours 20 minutes; +4 marks per correct, -1 for wrong, 0 for unattempted; total 720 marks.
- Medium includes Tamil; no Section B optionals this year.
How to Prepare
- Build NCERT foundation; focus high-weightage chapters like Human Physiology (20%), Genetics.
- Daily practice MCQs, weekly mocks; analyze errors for time management.
