Anna University Regional Campus Madurai (formerly Anna University of Technology) was established in the year 2010 as a result of a decision to split Anna University into six institutions.

• Situated in the historic location of Keelakuilkudi - Madurai, the college offers quality higher education. In 2011, the six colleges were merged back into Anna University and established into regional campuses.
• Therefore, Anna University Regional Campus Madurai was formed in the year 2012.
