Government Theni Medical College is the college which was affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. University, Chennai. It was the first college in Tamil Nadu to open. A 600-bed hospital, a casualty block, an administrative block, a central library, a lecture hall, a blood bank, a mortuary, an auditorium, a post office, a cafeteria, a bank, and a gas plant are all located on the college campus. GTMC provides medical bachelor's degree programs. The infrastructure of the college campus is well-equipped with all the latest amenities. It has a well-stocked library with a variety of books and journals, and all of its classrooms are well-appointed. It offers separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls in addition to other amenities including a gym. To transmit knowledge and skills to students, the college uses a range of teaching and learning strategies.
