Surya College of Engineering was established by the Annai Santhiya Educational Health & Charitable Trust at Woraiyur, Tiruchirappali.
The college was founded by Mr. S. Subramaniyam and Kalvithanthai Deivathiru. In 2012, the College was founded. As the college's chairman, Dr. Sujatha Subramaniam has demonstrated exceptional talent and efficiency in making this institution a prestigious one. AICTE, New Delhi, has granted the college its accreditation, and Anna University, Chennai, is its affiliate.
- Trichy Engineering College has 41.7 acres at Konalai Village, which is 22 km from Tiruchirappalli along the NH45 Highway between Chennai and Tirchirappalli. It is called Sivagnanam Nagar. It produces an environment that is conducive to growth and learning.
